Value Added
The1-Series, 3-Series and Z4 models
can now be ordered in the new
'Edition' specification. An added value
package, the ES spec adds £250
to the value of the 1-Series but provides
some £1300-worth of extra kit over the ES
model, including 17 inch wheels, sports
seats, three-spoke multi-function wheel
and front fog lights.
Meanwhile, the Edition badge on the
3-Series means some 24 new models in
the line-up, with Edition ES, Edition SE and
Edition M Sport packages on offer.
Edition ES and SE come in only Carbon
Black, Titanium Silver or Sparkling Graphite
complete with Dakota leather and brushed
aluminium interior trim, 17 inch wheels and
three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
The ES spec adds £750 to the cost, with the
separate cost of the items at £3000.
The Edition Sport model offers the same
features, but adds the same 18 inch wheel
design as the WTCC-winning 320si racer,
plus Business navigation, Bluetooth and
ConnectedDrive.
Specify the Edition trim on the Z4
and you'll be one of only 300 UK buyers.
The £1045 Edition Exclusive comes in
Sapphire Black, Stratus Grey, Titan Silver
or Montego Blue, with Soft Nappa leather,
gloss black interior trim and 17 inch Star
Spoke alloys - that's some £1835-worth
of options. The Edition Sport meanwhile
provides some £2500 of options and
comes in Carbon Black, Black Sapphire,
Space Grey, Titanium Silver or Montego
Blue, with colour-coded leather and 18
inch wheels for a £775 premium over the
standard Sport model. The Edition models
are on sale from March. |

Back To Basics
The 3-Series convertible might have
grown bigger and heavier with each
generation but chopping the top off

and E36 models. Comparing the dimensions
shows the 1-Series to be pretty close in size
to the E36 model, too – slightly narrower in
the rear but wider up front and within 8cm off
its overall length. Read more>
