BMW for 2008
This year sees the total number
of BMW models offered in the
UK reach 18 body styles and 231
different variants. The 1-Series
Convertible will hit showrooms
in April, initially with two engines on offer:
the 120i gets the 170 bhp 2-litre Valvetronic
four-cylinder built here in the UK, with the
218 bhp 3-litre straight six wearing the 125i
badge. Headline figures are 0-62 mph in 8.4
seconds for the 120i and 6.8 seconds for
the 125i.
Two specs are on offer for the fourcylinder
cars – the ES at £24,055 and the SE
at £25,205 – while the six-cylinder model
comes in only SE spec at £26,195.
Meanwhile, the M3 saloon goes on sale in
March, priced at £49,210.
