Octane Booster

MarProdOctane

Oil specialist Synionic has just released its unique Octane booster onto the market, a product that said to raise the octane rating of any petrol by between five and six points.

Each bottle of Synionic Octane Boost contains enough additive to treat two average-sized tanks of fuel. In doing so, the RON value of the pump fuel can apparently be raised considerably – typically Premium Unleaded rises to around 100-101 RON whereas Super Unleaded can be taken to a heady 103-104 RON.

The advantage of these higher values is more efficient combustion, resulting in a car that’s noticeably more responsive, cleaner burning and with greater fuel efficiency.

RPM Top Mounts

MarProdRPM

Race Performance Modified has extended its range of easy-to-adjust front suspension top mounts with this new fitment for the BMW Z4.

Made from aircraft-quality billet aluminium with a durable, self-lubricating Teflon-coated race bearing, these durable top mounts allow you to adjust camber and castor separately by sliding mounts without the need to remove any components.

Camber is adjusted using the easily accessible Allen bolts and castor adjustment is made by loosening the nuts that hold the top mount to the turret. A retaining bolt is held in a recess under the top mount, allowing it to slide back and forth for adjustment.

Hand-Finished Brake Lines

MarProdTarox

Respected Italian brake manufacturer Tarox has released a new set of beautifully engineered, hand-finished brake lines.

By providing an optimum rate of fluid transfer from pedal to pad, these new Tarox brake hoses improve both pedal feel and braking efficiency, enhancing the driver’s ‘feel’ and confidence.

Lines are manufactured from Teflon-coated braided stainless steel, with custom-machined stainless end fittings. Each set is entirely hand-finished and features a hard-wearing 95PVC-grade outer sleeve to protect against dirt and water ingress.

Milltek Exhausts

MarProdMilltek

Anyone who buys a new 1-Series M Coupé is obviously a performance enthusiast, and Milltek has been working closely with one of its main distributors, MRC Tuning, to further improve the performance of this already fast sports coupé.

Milltek’s development car had been treated to a mild remap before its new secondary cat-back exhaust system was fitted. With the standard exhaust it was dyno-tested at 355bhp/600Nm (it leaves BMW’s factory in Munich with 340bhp/450Nm), but with the new system the car showed a 5bhp/5Nm gain.

CSC CLUBSPORT COILOVERS

MarProdCSC

Respected suspension manufacturer Bilstein used its recent appearance at the Essen show in Germany to launch its new high-end coilover package; CSC Clubsport.

This stunningly engineered suspension solution has been designed for both road and racing use, and offers, according to Bilstein, track performance with road usability. Both bump and rebound settings can be finely adjusted by race-quality thumbwheels quickly and precisely.

The Bilstein CSC Clubsport coilover suspension incorporates high-grade, OEM and racing-quality components and can lower the front and rear of the vehicle between 30mm and 50mm to suit track conditions or personal preferences.

Initial fitments for BMWs – available this spring – includes M3 versions of the E36 and E46.

Prices are still to be confirmed, but you can find out more by visiting: www.bilstein.de/en
