Halfords

As well as stocking rain repellents from several other car care specialists, Halfords also sells its own brand product to help keep your windscreen clean and clear over winter.

Mer

According to car care specialist Mer, you can’t avoid winter weather but, with its rain repellent Rainaway, you can reduce its effects.

Rainaway has been specially created to prevent rainwater sticking to your windscreen and car windows. What’s more, because you’re not using your windscreen wipers all the time you’ll be saving wear and tear on your wiper blades. Mer also adds that applying Mer Rainaway regularly through cold weather will help you remove frost more easily from exterior glass.

Rain-X

The term ‘Rain-X’ has become synonymous with windscreen rain repellents thanks to its reputation for dramatically improving wet weather driving visibility.

Apply Rain-X’s Rain Repellent to your windscreen (or any other exterior glass for that matter) and rain drops will fly off your screen while driving. It’s also been designed to help remove frost, ice, salt, mud and bugs.

Spautopia

Sick of straining your eyes to see through a mucky windscreen? Well, Spautopia reckons it has the answer – One Shot is an effective screenwash, so-called because one concentrated shot is enough to create up to five litres of screenwash.

One Shot promises no smears and is apparently perfect for when you’re being splattered by the grease and salt from winter-beaten roads.

What’s more, according to Bromoco the more you use One Shot, the more microscopic One Shot particles will attach to the screen and wipers. This apparently makes the product more effective each time you use it.
