BMW Motorsport has completed a further three-day test at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz as part of its preparation for the 2012 DTM season. The session once again saw BMW Team Schnitzer, BMW Team RBM and BMW Team RMG put three newly-developed M3 DTM cars to the test. BMW works drivers, including Andy Priaulx, were also given the opportunity to test the awesome racecar.

The unsettled conditions on track allowed BMW to gather important information and data on the car’s performance as it continues to prepare for the coming season. The work carried out included tyre tests, work on rear axle kinematics and system tests.

The three BMW M3 DTM cars completed a total of 388 laps of the 3.4km track on the first day, 380 on day two and 334 laps on the third and final day.

Andy Priaulx said: “I think we have made very good progress again. Personally I am very pleased with the job BMW are doing, everything they bring to the package is positive. Obviously it’s not possible to judge our performance compared to our opposition until the first race, but I am definitely very happy with the set-up so far.”

Andy Priaulx and Augusto Farfus have already been confirmed as BMW works drivers for the 2012 DTM season.
