NovNewsSteelThe penultimate round of the British Touring Car Championship took place at Kent’s Brands Hatch racing circuit during the first weekend in October.

The Geoff Steel Racing pink and green liveried BMW 320si, driven by Tony Gilham, had a successful but mixed weekend coming 15th in the first race, 23rd in the second and unfortunately a DNF for the third with just one lap completed.

The team had hoped to become the first squad to run a turbocharged version of the 320si but the engine was not ready in time for the Brands Hatch races – instead they will swap from naturally-aspirated to turbo for the final round at Silverstone on 15-16th October.

Former 2007 VW Cup Champion Gilham is currently at position 19 out of 30 in the overall BTCC points table.
