22nd – BMW track day

Hot off the press, we have news of the BMW Car Club GB’s first track day of 2012 on Oulton Park’s full circuit. This is an exclusive booking with a capped entry to just 60 cars and you’re welcome to attend even if you have a noisy Beemer – up to 105dB is allowed! A friendly club atmosphere is promised, along with trophies and raffle prizes at the end of the day. It costs £120 for BMWCC members (if paid before 31st January) and £145 for guests. MARCH 2012

 

24th – Central Region Visit to Meguiar’s
Daventry, Northants

If you’re interested in car prepping and detailing, then the central region of the BMWCC’s visit to renowned car care product people Meguiar’s will definitely be of interest. Numbers are limited to 20 cars and a member’s BMW is used to show before and after prepping in Meguiar’s high-intensity lighting bay. There’s the option of a 10-mile drive afterwards for a pub lunch stop at a canal-side venue.

 

APRIL 2012

 

29th – InCarNation
Madeira Drive, Brighton

Brighton’s famous seafront road will host the UK’s finest on four wheels, as Ace Cafe London and Fueltopia team-up to present the second annual InCarNation. MAY 2012

 

6th – Duxford Spring Car Show
Imperial War Museum, Duxford

There’s space for 150 BMWs/Alpinas including concours at this spring car show, being the Central Region and East Anglia’s first big event of the year. Entrance costs are expected to be around £10 per adult and admission includes access to air and land museums. Keep an eye on the forum for details closer to the event.

12th – BMW Car Day
Ace Cafe, Stonebridge, London

On a similar scale to last year’s event at the infamous Ace Cafe London, BMW owners are encouraged to take part from 11am onwards. Check out the website for more details.

13th – Bimmerflex Classic
Picnic in the Park

If you hadn’t already guessed, yes this event from 10am-3pm is just for old skool BMWs, and this year organisers are encouraging participants to bring their own picnic hampers and enjoy a ‘picnic in the park’ along with other BMW enthusiasts. Tickets are £10 on the gate for adults, all children, seniors, disabled people and military personnel are free of charge. Keep an eye on the website for updates.

 

JULY 2012


15th – Car Show and Country Fair
Kimbolton Castle, Beds

This is an annual show organised by the Sporting Bears for charity. There’s usually 800 cars on display from 40 car clubs and the BMWCC’s Central Region is planning on having a stand. Take a look at the forum for further details.

20th-22nd – Silverstone Classic
Silverstone Racing Circuit, Northamptonshire

This is one race weekend not to miss; 1,100 historic racing cars from the ‘30s to the ‘80s including F1, Group C and Masters over three full days of 22 races. In addition, 6,000 cars are expected to be on the display infield from 120 car clubs. Aside from the racing there will also be air shows, rock concerts for Friday and Saturday evenings, funfairs and an on-site camping area. BMWCC is planning on its biggest attendance ever, to celebrate the club’s 60th!

22nd – The German Show
Beaulieu Motor Museum, Beaulieu

All German marques are welcome to attend this show which will feature a huge variety of models from old skool to modified and everything in between! There will be trade stands, cars for sale, club displays and a show and shine. Adult tickets cost £11, children £9. Overnight camping including ticket entry is £18. AUGUST 2012

 

18th-19th – The BMW Festival Heritage
Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire

This is the BMW Car Club GB’s annual big event and following the success of last year’s, it is expected that 2012 will follow similar arrangements. Details to follow.

 

SEPTEMBER 2012

 

16th – BMW Show
Santa Pod Raceway, Wellingborough, Northants

This all action drag/drift/circuit BMW exclusive show is back for its 7th year and all BMWs are welcome. Run What Ya Brung is on the Saturday with overnight camping available and music into the night at the Fuelers Bar. This year’s event includes a free-to-enter show and shine, handling circuit, drift passenger rides, stunt displays and much, much more. Tickets are £15 on the show day, kids under 13 go free.

29-30th – Passion for Power Motor Show
The Trafford Centre’s EventCity Complex, Manchester
This new and exciting indoor event features some of the world’s most desirable muscle cars, supercars, performance, modified and competition cars! BMW clubs and forums are invited to exhibit cars for free, plus there will be plenty of specialist trade stands, entertainment, bars, food and refreshments for a great family day out.
